This is my new favourite version of this aria from Handel's Giulio Cesare... Especially listen to the passage at 9:00!!! I love it ;-)

@mariannamouse I love Simone's voice too. I find it an interesting analogy to sounding a bit like a boy soprano. I did an experiment with one of her songs and lowered it a few semitones and I could swear she sounded like a countertenor!

Her voice is just incredibly lovely and very compelling! I find it less emotional than others singing this-I absolutely love Laura Claycombe and Inger Dam-Jensen's performance of this, but hers is right up there. Her voice reminds me a bit of a boy soprano -- so clear and ethereal. Absolutely wonderful to listen to.

Its from her Handel Album "La Diva"... It appeared this year, but I think its temporary just available in Germany, Austria and in Switzerland...
