we have thousands of norfolk island pines here. i have a question. why is it that some like the ones in this video have large branches but the ones here are skinny?
joshuarugg 11 months ago
@joshuarugg thats a good question. We get variations within Norfolks here some of which are clearly soil or water influenced. It may also be that some of the trees you have seen are actually Cook islanf pines which although similar to Norfolks are smaller all round.

Now you have one big Popeye arm?!!...and it gets harder as you go, the resin fouling up the saw teeth more and more...I did that once on a Austrian pine and then went out and laid out for a climbing saw!

@Spartreeman
Next tree I did lefthanded to even up the Popeye arm!
Don't need a climbing saw if you eat enough spinach. :)

Man why did you use a had saw and not a T-handle stihl or husky I recon you got around 2000-2500 for the removal dam good work....

I own 2 Stihl 200t saws. It wasn't lack of a chainsaw it was safety, speed and well, a bet! You would be amazed at what a sharp Zubat can do and when there is a lot of rope around, using a saw that only cuts on one edge helps avoid accidents.
