  • Well well that is the best vidio I have ever watched and I watched hundreds of them well done Shawn it has helped my game in dsitance and on targret I cant thank you enougth Regards John Munro

  • @232muffin Thank you John! Just uploaded an updated version for this video too this weekend; called "2 ball drill revisited" Shawn

  • Lots of good stuff there Shawn, love the analogies. Lag is so important and mostly illusive in the majority of golfers. Isn't it centrifugal force that unhinges the wrists in the down the swing?

  • @EverydayGolfCoach Yes! And thank you for the kind words! You will love the video "stop crashing; shawn clement" which will demonstrate in another way what you are talking about here; All the best! Shawn

  • Shawn, quick question. Do you advocate using an impact bag for practice. I have one and have only used it a short time. I'm not sure if it's helping. After watching this video, I'm wondering if using an impact bag will have me focusing too much on the ball instead of where my intended target is. What do you think? Thanks for all your very helpful videos. I have watched many of them and appreciate all your help.

  • @mjburke43 You would be correct! If you do use the impact bag, do it to practice the heavy momentum, meaning that you would be using the weight of the arm-club unit to hit the shot; see "golf pro lesson tilted spiral part 2" for this one; Shawn

  • @CideousNx It doesn't matter that the club face is a little bit open. Try hit the ball from inside-out so that the club face is closed in relation to the real line. Now, you get a decent draw.

another solution can be the 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock drill. With swing forward & backward, keep the wrists relax and you will have the feeling of wrist rotation.

  • @sailors2011 maybe the posture-distance problem. I saw many good players aiming the ball with the toe or heel of the club instead of the center. 'Aim the ball with the toe side of the club head' will be the quick fix.

I often hit toe shot so that I aim the ball close to the heel of my club. It works

  • Question! I recently bought a Taylormade Burner driver, 9.5 degree loft. But Im hitting it on the heel and its not very fun at all...whats a quick fix?

  • @copeland45 Sorry, I think you are very wrong in what you wrote.

  • I have tried to hit with lag for years but I ALWAYS push it or slice it right. I can NEVER strike the ball with good lag without leaving the club face open. No idea how to fix that. Swinging with lag is easy, striking the ball with the clubface square WHILE lag swinging is very hard.

  • I love you.

  • re: 2 ball drill -- great drill for practice. But what about on the course? How do I get the CNS to light up and go through the ball and through an imaginary second ball? I tried imagining another ball, that doesn't work. I tried to pick out a blade of grass, that doesn't work either. Only in practice with the second ball do I feel the compression through the ball. Thanks.
