I also use glass, it helps when it is time to clean up. I learned a very differant way of mixing skin tones but i like this way too. I mainly work on comic art but the colors are basicly the same. It is nice to the way others do it.

My palette is the glass door from a kitchen cabinet. Not only is it large and solid, it also comes with a strong handle with good grip. So any glass doors you get rid of, consider using them as your next palette :)
