3D Technology brings the future of home entertainment. A number of the big Television channel companies are looking forward to this growing media explosion by creating 3D equipped channels and devices like a sky 1TB box to help improve the grade of 3D programmes enabling audiences to take pleasure from their most liked Television shows as though they’re viewing events happen in reality.

Augmented Reality. These applications allow the true human interaction. For example Axe company set up display "Fallen Angels " commercial in London, LiverPool station, This is brilliance. Also the Ar also allows Smartphone users scan pictures of margazine, can get the price of the product, where is can be purchase, delivery time and any other information possible.
Companies who are not technologically inclined would be soon left behind.

I have the opportunity to play "KILL ZONE" in a 3D TV Sony was promoting a few months ago.I wanted to bring it up not only to show how companies are adapting more and more to the customer needs, but as how they seem to understand that a simple battle game may created a different perspective for the player just by adding a 3D experience. Now I would like to think that in a near future some one will integrate motion sensors and 3D capability making the absolute gaming experience. Kevin A ,BCS555

I attended a Marketing conference where Augmented Reality was discussed and how it is the next step in advertising and entertainment. AR is taking a picture or footage of real places and through computer processing, adding virtual objects or animations to the final product. An example of this is can be seen in the Nintendo 3DS that was released a few months ago. Besides including glasses-free 3D, it also includes cards which can be animated and interacted with after scanning.

It amazing how technology is always changing, like displaying 3D without the glasses. A few years back, people wouldn't think 3D could be watched on your own TV. Such a change in technology can happen instantly. But now its like nothing new. For example, when I heard about the Nintendo 3Ds coming out, i couldn't really imagine how 3D would look like on a portable gaming device without any glasses. Looking back then to now, technology has changed drastically.

I do not think that it is a coincidence that films like Avatar are grossing record profits. Its clear 3D will succeed.
Posted on the CBC website there is an article about 3D TVs. There is a interesting point that 3D TV without the glasses may take longer than one would hope. This is because the technological environment is constrained. To view a 3D without glasses means you currently need to be in the "Sweet Spot".

3D television is not that far away, first wave of market ready "3D ready" HDTVS are due to arrive in summer of 2010 which will make 3d images when used with 3d glasses. This 'll also make most HDTVs today obsolete as they will not be "3D ready" as those kind of HDTV requires special display technologies.

Using this reasoning you could also say that surround sound was created because as humans, we don't hear sound coming from a single direction we hear sounds coming from all around us!
