ORLANDO CITRUS PARADE 2010: MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY & U.A. BANDS

Both university marching bands are shown from the same vantage point, approximately one block from the reviewing stands near the end of the parade on December 30, 2010, temperature in the high 60s. Obviously, the "Battle of the Bands" title is tongue-in-cheek, since this location seems to be somewhat of an idle point at least for one of the bands. The "Spartan Marching Band" from Michigan State University and the University of Alabama's "Million-Dollar Band" are first-class, precision bands with the capacity for spectacular shows. As can be heard here in the pleas of spectators for the MSU band, "You gotta play!" these exciting groups have a loyal following with high expectations for thrilling performances.

The Spartan Band, particularly the percussion section, has always been "shock & awe".

Both bands are great!! Parade setting favors MSU. Halftime show setting favors Bama. Enjoy seeing bands from the Big Ten.  Very different presentation.. More Old School. Great Job!!
