The shrunken and shriveled 10-minute version of the original 28-minute fifth episode of "Emerald City," Eugene, Oregon's very own soap opera satire, a 10-part miniseries which aired on Community Cable Television in the spring of 1986. The fifth episode features the infamous "Shootout at 12th and Mill," in front of the equally infamous Bellbottom House, with John Balfe doing all his own stunt work. Also, note that the pregnant and desperate-for-medical-attention Mary Lou Primm (Laura Murphy) is actually walking AWAY from Sacred Heart Hospital as she wanders the streets of the West University Neighborhood. I remember the Paradox bookstore people did not take kindly to us (Laura) running into their sign repeatedly! Cameo performance by Scott Crisp as the guy trying to ignore Mary Lou.
cool. Hey there was another soap opera in Eugene called Rough Crossing. Anyone know of any vids of those?
