Spiritual Warfare

What is Spiritual Warfare, why do we need it? Why would Jesus tell us to bind and loose if He took care of it all at the cross? I'll be sharing the importance of the application... the appropriation for what Jesus did here on this episode of hearingGod.

Spiritual warfare is the next step for a spirit-filled, born again overcomer. It is one thing to believe the promises of God, but an overcomer steps into the ministry of Jesus... doing what He did, and even 'greater works than these'.

Spiritual warfare is simply the implementation or the applying of the blood of Jesus, and the application, with authority, regarding of the word of God. It is you saying 'I only do what I see the Father doing'. It is NOT in running around picking fights with the devil... which is a dangerous contrivance of the flesh. If God doesn't lead, you will not succeed!

A spiritual warrior realizes what this statement means: "Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do". That we war not against flesh and blood, but powers and principalities... that evil spirits influence people, cities and nations... and that we, in the power of His blood, have His authority to bind the demonic from operating, and loose the things that align with the Spirit of God here on earth.

When a person can understand that humans are influenced by spirits, fear can be overcome. "What can man do to me?" (Psa 56:11, Psa 118:6) This of course does not make us 'above the law' of common sense... If we stray away from seeking His will and in doing only what we see the Father doing... we will reap the consequences of presumption.

Amen. I think I just interpreted some of your tongues there. One part I got at certain utterances, ( I think ) lol new to this: " I am opening people's ears here..I am opening people's eyes..." I don't think I got the last tongue utterance. hen I saw an open door where I saw long sidewalk width size (same as the door) road or path. Hmm wow! Praise God! @JaymarkRadio that is really cool and is in line w/ what i'm saying in between as well. i don't get word by word interps... i'll get bits and pieces and then flesh them out w/ my in between prayer. like He gives me just enuff to stand in agreement and prophesy it out. the door thing w/ the sidewalk is awesome.... w/ proclaiming He 'dispatch them out'. this is from 2009 n you testified it's 'alive'... how much more is the Word of truth alive and living and active... exciting thought!

@Juanster23 spiritual warfare is done in the mind...with thoughts. "you're stupid, ugly, worthless, guilty, and should just kill yourself because there's no God to help you or any afterlife and life is meaningless" are all tormenting thoughts which plague most of humanity as we speak. the devil is real and he's a thief, liar and murderer...the Bible is right. i listened to his tormenting lies for most of my life...becoming a Christian and putting on the armor of Scripture saved my life.

@freedoms01 people will try to 'go in some other way' ie... use those precepts, but God didn't send His son for nothing, so unfortunately He's pretty firm in that only through Jesus, as the gate... is the only way. and that's what gets everybody all riled up. and you are familiar w many will say i did this n that in your name, but He sez, "i never knew you"... so, church... nope, it's about the heart. it's about being more than a 'talker'. so many hypocrites, so lil time.
