Oct. 2, 2009 - Larry Kudlow accidentally cheers when Obama fails to bring home the Olympics. He quickly realizes his mistake & changes to sound disappointed. Listen closely at the end, you here him cursing a bit, probably he knows he screwed up.
The right is so happy Obama failed, especially since half of Chicago didn't want the games. And the left will try to play it off like it's no problem. But it's pretty ridiculous for Obama to be the 1st US Pres to do an Olympic sales pitch.
I'm an independent, and both sides sicken me, but I'm so glad our arrogant socialist blew it. And I'm glad Crazy Glenn Beck exposed the $$$ behind the ChicagObama bid, Valerie Jarrett & housing development fraud scheme. Did I mention Oprah came along?
Congrats to Rio & Lula -- those people know how to celebrate a win!

I gotta say though, polls showed that 1/3 to 1/2 of Chicagoans didn't want it. I didn't vote for Obama or McCain, I wanted Hillary. That said, I've never liked Obama (he's dangerous JMHO), just as bad as Bush/Cheney. Maybe we could bring Merkel from Germany when she's done with her 2nd term.

PS: Crazy Glenn Beck did a real # on motives for Chicago Olympics. I think Rio's much better choice for Olympic party.

BurnOutXL, Merkel's as conservative as W. If you're conservative, there's nothing wrong with that; but if you like Hillary, then liking a European conservative makes no sense. I'm also surprised by the "info" (above) saying "the left will try to play it [Chicago's loss] off like it's no problem". That's rich after the callous whoops from the right. But if you mean the left will ignore it because they don't care about U.S. losses anyway, that's scurrilous, and I resent that.

A defining moment for conservatives! As a bit left of center myself, although often for fiscal restraint, I'll no longer be so civil when a conservative questions my patriotism over -- for instance -- differences I have on certain uses of the military. The cheers at Americans for Prosperity for our losing the Olympics shows up conservatives who are ready to trash their country's interests for partisan gain. An iconic moment! I'll throw it up every time my patriotism is questioned.
