The Greener Gender: Are men worse for the environment?

In 2007 an author by the name of Gerd Johnssom-Latham penned a report to the Swedish environment advisory council entitled "A study on gender equality as a prerequisite for sustainable development". This video is a critique.

I originally made this a long time ago for a documentary. It didn't make the cut and I am releasing it now.

Women spend far more time shopping, demanding the latest material goods. They're probably more of a strain on certain resources (i.e. taking longer showers). They do their share of consumption too.

Just a slightly off point here ArgusEyes. For someone who seems to love nature so much, it's funny that you'd so strongly support something, capitalism, that is doing the most to destroy it.

A society starts to care about nature when the smaller orders of life are taken care of. When life becomes decedent then we can start working on splinter causes like caring for our environment. Capitalism is the best system for achieving material wealth and good standard of living.

Did the soviets care for the environment as much as we do? Is the air cleaner in China than it is in the U.S.?

There is no way in hell that women cause less environmental damage than men in America. They drive around in huge SUV's, desire the largest and thus least energy efficient houses...

Truth be told, there's probably no correlation between gender and hydrocarbon usage that can't be traced to the fact that men spend more time trying to provide for their families and that this task often requires hydrocarbons.

Women are better for the environment? What a patent absurdity!

WOMAN BEAR THE CHILDREN and by virtue of the procreation process THEY inordinately contribute to the environmental degradation conditioned by a diseased cultural model. renewable energy source are largely irrelvent to the needs of modern civilisation.

Our civilisation relies on several hundred refined petroleum products that can't be easily derived from any other source but non-renewable, very polluting and devestatingly finite oil.

At about the 5:00 mark that harridan started tooting her horn about women in other countries. Now who the fuck died and made her queen of the universe to dictate how other women should be? Has she ever asked these women if they feel they are getting a raw deal or does she just assume so because she's such a narcissistic harridan of a cunt?
