You have the reel going to fast. It only needs to be going about 10% faster than you are traveling so it doesn't beat the crop before it hits the header
-
Congratulations and good luck to you.

by the look of your beans you could probably close the sieves a notch or 2 and open up the air a little. my only other suggestion is to slow your reel speed down i have a feeling that some of your beans are being beaten off the stems!
-
you really do need to slow your reel down considerably. your beans are shelling out and falling on the ground before they even get to the separator. that = loss of yield.

Enjoyed the video. Lots in common with my 1971 Gleaner F. Just finished my big 20 acres of beans
-
You don't need a seperator, your running your reel fast enough to beat all your beans out before they ever get to the combine.

nice machine i have a F2 with a 13 foot header i cut about 110 acres of soybeans with it last year good luck to you

i just got a gleaner k with a 13ft bean head and two row corn(that has never been used) got it cheap off ebay, this is my first year in soybeans cant wait,i just love the little gleaners, just hope i learn how to use it,great vid

it looks like you are have a good crop that year unlike this year

verry nice vid!! the other dad i found a Gleaner E all growed up in a tree!!
This combine cost me $400 and another $300 to fix up. The first load of beans paid it off. It's good for about 10 acres a day and the bin hods 40 bushels so your gonna empty it about every acre or so. It is a cheap well built machine for a hobby farmer like me.

Not that bad. $800 should be field ready or very close to it. Sold mine for $950 in great shape.
