The year is 2080 and the world has been unified beneath a singular government distantly derived from the known democracy of the early United States. It is a government based on economical oppression, but it allows for the sustainability of the masses. This has led to the breakdown of advancements in technology. The world looks very similar to the United States during the early years of the millennium. The government began allocating funds towards controlling society, and instead of the exponential advancements in technology; we hit a plateau. Suffering had ended but so did creation. We have scorched the planet. People have become preoccupied with money and politics, religion has dwindled to a fractured system that is barely spoken of. Small sects still exist in remote areas of the world, but for the most part we have turned our backs on God. God has seen this fallacy and has chosen to fulfill the lost prophecy that is the basis for the theological theory known as the "Abandonment Theory". This prophecy has been kept secret throughout time because it is hopeless, God will abandon us. He will instate the anti-Christ Himself and then simply walk away. Allow the world to fend for themselves. God will explicitly give directions to one man, the anti-Christ, to bring those religious sects together under the requisites set forth in the prophecy. Ultimately this man will be responsible for annihilating faith and allowing earth to be free range for Satan. "Abandonment Theory" is the story of that man. It will deal with his own realization of his role in history, first as a vengeful prophet sent by God, then as a pawn in a plan far bigger then he had thought. Knowing evil is believing in good, he is a catalyst for this belief. As he was sent to set the stage for Satan's reign on earth, he was setting the stage for a rebirth of the world's belief in God.
