You can shortcut your items/spells by pressing y over them, so you can just press up on the d-pad to get to the items/spells you want alot easier (: You can also see if the armor is better than yours by looking on the bottom of the screen, if there is a + (any number in green) then its better to use, and u can just press right trigger to equip it! Thumbs up so he can see :D

They removed redundant skill like athletics and acrobatics. So you don't have to jump around anymore.

i've only watched the video for 8 minutes and you've probably figured this out now... but u can hold down the spell cast button instead of just tapping it...

btw when figuring out the golden claw door. Look at where the talons go in if you look closely you can see the images i.e middle one is the middle left one is the top right one is the bottom.
