I really enjoyed watching this when it was on TV in the UK,

I wonder does anybody remember an American TV documentary made a bit later than this prog...about a group of American owner drivers...one was an old guy one was an Indian...I think they drove over the cascade mountains in convoy,

Love to see that again....I bet its on here but I dont remember the name....anybody help me with that one.

Thanks for posting these videos, I remember watching this program on TV when I just got my class 1 licence as a lad of 21...still wet behind the ears,

A mate lent me a battered copy of Cola Cowboys a few weeks ago and it brought back memory's of this prog...I was so surprised when I just found this on youtube,

Hope you dont mind but I have copied them to put on a DVD for my mate...he will be chuffed,

Great Video, I read the book ,seen the film, just wish i had done the job, My Old man was out there in the 70s, along with a few other hardy North East drivers.

@tejepollo Yes, but if you already work for a haulage company, say in an office, like I do... the company usually offer to pay for your licenses for you if you drive for them!

i have to be a truck driver....but its very expensive to get the lincence....classes are very expensive and exams too....

unfortunately 1977 was one of our grey years, there was no electricity, no gas, no cigarettes and other several things nuthin but long queues everywhere, besides anarchy began to rule the streets this year with next three years, people killed each other on every single day and then we saw the military coupe in 1980 =( nevermind despite all the negative things it's good to see oldskool and mellow scenes of Istanbul after years, thank you funkyweed!
