@TheRorschach2 Jal's whole family and Kenneth is a chav stereotype? If that were the case they wouldn't just make the black people act that way. Epecially because if you look up the definition of chav its a white middle class teenager acting in anti-social behavior. Secondly the way Jal's family and Kenneth talk is slang which is a black stereotype. Thomas wasn't sterotyped but he was pretty boring...

@Jazzy115 they arnt stereotyping blacks, there stereotyping chavs. Thomas(gen2 black Character)is probly as nice/kind as Sid.

I kno this isn't my arguement lol. But i sort of get wat ur saying. I mean they did stereotype black men an awful lot in this series..i mean just look at the way jal's family acts. Also i dnt rlly know much about the uk but in america sometimes they do view light skin as better looking...so i can see were u got that observation from..on a side note i dnt thnk he was much of a main character..i thnk they just wanted to put him in the show a couple of times to appreciate his writing...but i dunno.

And do you think thats why he was less important on "Skins" than others? Come on. This show is about people of lots of diffrent colours, religions, sexual orientations etc. and the last thing you can say is that producents have too little tolerance. And there are a lot of actors who also played there a supporting part and who were white... Just somebody has to be "this second". And it's not up to race.

I agree, but everyone was so beautiful, it's truly to hard to pick out the most beautiful Skins character of all.

I notice he didn't get his own stories much on Skins. I don't mean to accuse anyone of racism but I don't think Skins writes enough stories for their black characters, they seem to be secondary.
