FINANCE: Dr. Tim Query: Finance 326, Business Risk Management

Dr. Tim Query is an Associate Professor and the Chairholder of the Mountain States Insurance Group Endowed Chair for the Study of Insurance and Financial Services. He also is the advisor for Gamma Iota Sigma, the Risk Management and Insurance professional business fraternity at NMSU. Dr. Query received his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. At NMSU he teaches primarily insurance courses that include employee benefits, life and health insurance and property and liability insurance. Dr. Query is also involved in the Insurance Studies program here at NMSU.

Dr. Query exemplifies a list of professors to interview because of his background and knowledge of the Insurance Studies Program. Dr. Query also possesses many credentials in the business world, including his CPA. He is passionate about how he teaches his students. Finance 326, Business Risk Management is a great class as it is essential for entrepreneurship and essential for selling. There is an entire field dedicated to risk management. Students should have knowledge of risk management because as an entrepreneur it is critical to understand the risks one is taking.
