sure, this production suffers from many cuts and "simplification" of Shakespeare's language--but some fine performances!

Maurice Evans ... Prospero
Lee Remick ... Miranda
Roddy McDowall ... Ariel
Liam Redmond ... Gonzalo
William Bassett ... Ferdinand (as William H. Bassett)
Ronald Radd ... Stephano
Paul Ballantyne ... Sebastian
Tom Poston ... Trinculo

  • sets sometimes remind of w blake

  • Richard Burton what are you wearing!!!! LMAO. They must have borrowed the costume from barbarella or vice versa if it was made before.

  • Okay, what the hell is Sebastian wearing. I thought Ferdinand's costume was a little farfetched, but that ... pink... thing... He looks like he got attacked by Michaels.

  • OMG Why is Ferdinand so sexily clad? LOL!

  • Would any wonderful person happen to have and share at least some of the 1960 MacBeth film (TV?) production also made by Hallmark Theatre directed and produced by George Schaefer and starring Maurice Evans and Dame Judith Anderson. It was a Life cover story that has haunted me since my childhood and I've never been able to unearth a viewing copy.

Please and thank you in advance.
