what is the useful load on one of these? amazing performance envelope!

LIked the helicopter impersonation the best. Wasn't there a bit of wind with that? In a future video, I hope you can show how these things can fly backwards with a fairly good headwind.

The reason I would consider buying your DVD is for more of the last 60 seconds: in-cockpit narration and view of instruments while demonstrating manovering, landing, etc. which is what I really want to know about the plane. How much of that is present in the video, versus just external flying footage?

Go to the STOL-Adventures website and click on "Our DVDs". There, you will find a table of contents for the first DVD in the series. The title of the chapter that you are interested in is "Join us in the cockpit". This chapter is 40 minutes long. It highlights different flight maneuvers from inside the cockpit. The pilot gives informative narration while performing: power-on and power-off stalls, steep turns, cruise-flight, slow-flight plus a takeoff, climb-out, approach, landing and more.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this.
Wow - with no wind and just 100 hp.

Yes, all filming for Volume I "Canyon Surfing" was done in virtually no-wind conditions. We also had our propeller set for best cruise (hence the 105 mph cruise), and used NO FLAPS on any of the take-offs and landings shown on this DVD. We're saving the really short take-offs and landings for future videos: With wind, flaps and a take-off prop: You'll be impressed!
