Forever [IIL Season 2] Chapter 31

*Railey’s P.O.V.*

I next day, I woke up and slid out of Nick’s warm arms. I got ready for class and grabbed some crackers and water on the way out. I didn’t feel too great. Morning sickness.

I walked onto the elevator, expecting to see that Dwayne guy. But, I didn’t. I got to class and took my seat. Chynae leaned over to me and sobbed with red eyes.
“What’s up, Chynae?” I asked. Everyone else was engaged in their own conversations as we waited for the professor.
“R-R-Ryan... B-ro-o-ke up-p with m-me,” she cried while laying her head down on her desk. I frowned and gently rubbed her back.
“Sh... he’s just a guy, Chynae. You’re better off single,” I said. She sobbed some more. “What happened?” I asked. She raised her head up and sniffed.
“Well, he kind of caught me and P-Patrick... yeah. I feel so stupid!” she sobbed. I nodded my head.
“Don’t. You obviously was losing feelings for Ryan, why feel stupid over that? It’s not like you can help it. Besides, Patrick is a great guy.”
“Yeah, he really is. Thanks Railey,” she said. I nodded and patted her back.
“You’ll be fine.”

A few minutes later, the professor walked in and began class. Chynae turned towards me and handed me a note.
“This was on my desk today with a note beside it saying I needed to give it to you,” she informed me. I took the note that read “To: Railey” and opened it.

“People very close to your heart should be treasure at this time.”

Okay, this is getting weird. What the hell do these notes mean? I put all my things in my bag and stood up.
“Ms. Jenkins?” the professor asked.
“Feeling sick, I’ll be back tomorrow,” I said while walking out the door. I quickly walked down the long hall into the bathroom and kneeled beside the toilet. I really did feel sick, but I mostly just wanted to get out of their and figure out why these notes are coming.

I finished then went back to our dorm. Nick wasn’t there, he had class. I brushed my teeth then went and found the other note. I compared the two notes, and they seemed to have different handwriting... strange. I wasn’t sure what to do. I didn’t have any clues about who could be writing these. Maybe someone in my class? I grabbed my bag and swung it over my shoulder as I ran back out the door. I took the elevator down a couple floors until I found where my english class was. There was a poster on the outside of it with everyone’s name on it that they signed themselves. I started to compare the writing on the notes to every students handwriting on the poster. None of them matched. Not even enough to have a second look at.


I sighed and stuffed the notes back into my bag. As I shuffled down the hall, I kept on wondering who it could be. When I reached our dorm, there seemed to be another note taped to the door that was for me. I ripped it open and read.

“Clueless and reckless. You should regret your past.”

What. The. Hell? I looked around me, but nobody was there. The handwriting was the same as the other notes, and just as confusing. I stuffed it into my bag with the others and walked inside the dorm.
