For our fifty-story + hotel in Pyongyang, only two of the eight tourist-elevators were in use. This was one of them; in spite of it doing this every four or so times, and trying to close on you every other time, we were always happy to see it after waiting for it for five to ten minutes in the foyer of the thirty-eighth floor.
One time, during one of the city's daily power outages, myself and a couple of other people were trapped inside it in between floors for a few minutes; lights off and everything.
I actually kind of miss it. Good times, good times.
