I have seen this film and it did change me. I appreciated life and family and basic things more and more after seeing this. I'm a big Viggo fan period, but this film was moving, uplifting at times, and scary all at the same time. Thanks to those who made it.

If you like the movie, read the book. Its better. Most people who read the book like it more. The book also has a last paragraph that could not be put into the movie just because its kinda just writing, not part of the plot but my favorite part in the book.

This is a fantastic movie. I've never seen something that could emotionally affect me on the same level as this movie. It separates itself from the time period and instead espouses a message that is relevant to everyone; the human will to live for someone whom you love. Regardless of 1,000 years from now or 1,000 years before, this message will always apply. Finding beauty in such an ugly world is moving. There was no other movie deserving of an Oscar in 2009.
