The real (pagan) meaning of Christmas Day

It's common knowledge that Jesus wasn't actually born on 25 December, but the true significance of this date is not often spoken of within Christianity. It is a pagan celebration of the rebirth of the "sun" on the winter solstice. It's no accident that the Church applied this date to Jesus.

Hello Darryl. With your dedication to your beliefs you must have been a great asset to your church when you were a christian. Every video is so thought provoking for me. I tend not to have the time to study this, but I think there are a lot of falacies out there forced down your throat by churches of every religeon. @GaryGSF Thanks, Gary. Actually, I was quite the opposite of an asset to my church. I was a bit of a misfit and an outsider, inwardly critical of what I was hearing from the pulpit, and sensing others disapproval of me. But that's my fault, too. I didn't warm to most of those people and their ways. Three years ago, when I finally kicked it all out of my life, it was like being reborn.

@ryan112233 listen i'm not a Christian but with the risk of getting a big back lashing from my pagan friends,i just ask that people respect each others faith.It really isn't that difficult.Every religious preaches about peace.There is a saying the highest tree catches the most wind.And that is always the truth.You get people that is over the top and i don't concern myself with them because they believe what they believe and are ignorant in there believes.Go study it a bit then we can talk.

@BurningMountin Yes, of course. Plenty. Some good friendships, a loving atmosphere at times, and even some genuine wisdom now and again. But ultimately, the selling of your mind is a detrimental thing to do to yourself and it poisons your life.
