With just a few short months remaining before Vancouver Whitecaps FC take to the pitch as the 17th team in Major League Soccer (MLS), the club formally unveiled their new brand and logo, and announced a second and final season ticket deposit window that will open to fans this weekend.

I'm really impressed. Just enough symbolism but looks clean and crisp just like the city. Thank GOD there wasn't a big ugly mess of conflicting primary colours, gaudy maple leaves, soccer balls, etc. All of that old style stuff is trite and ugly.

I really hope we never get that much smaller waterfront stadium. Because when we get the renovated BC place. Its going to be the perfect place for the whitecaps to share with the lions.

They did a much better job of it than Portland, who ruined a perfectly good crest. I've gotta put this right up there with Phili and Chicago as the best badges in the league so far.
