This is a simple yet cool hybrid rocket motor I made at the University of North Florida. It uses ABS plastic for fuel and GOX for the oxidizer. I used a firecracker fuse to ignite it at the beginning. The casing is made from ordinary plumbing parts.

    Yeah, the light is just so bright

    that the camera can't capture

    it so there is a distortion.

  • definitely needs more oxygen. still laminar flow.

  • supposedly the rocket's flame is so bright when the camera tries to adjust, it causes that distortion. that's what someone else said about they're film. it made sense, altho, like them, i am no expert.

  • youu not generating any thrust, the highest chamber pressure can't be greater than what your blowing in there,

  • ive seen that purple disruption before on hybrid rocket testing videos. any idea what it might be?
