SED-TV is something that no amount of words can describe. It is something that must be SEEN to be believed; literally. SlashGear journey in to the world of SED-TV through an actual demo. But, what exactly is SED-TV? To unravel the mysteries of SED-TV, a history lesson is quite helpful.

  • @Conflickr CRTs are unhealthy. SED is aswell.

  • OK this guy is *really* scary. Did you hear what he said at 3.33?! 2mm is a half an inch?!! What the hell this is really frightening. He's american, too! 2mm is 1/16th

  • To see why LCD sucks, make a screen full of bright orange, and then move your head around. You will see the orange change wildly in colour & brightness from a greeny colour to a bright red, and the impossibility of having the whole screen the same colour.

    This is why LCD sucks

  • does it emit radiation????? still LCD ROCKZZZ

  • heh, yeah, it sounds funny the way he said it. I think he's referring to the fact that there is 2mm of distance between the sheets of glass and, therefore, the thickness of the whole unit (including the thickness of the glass and that 2mm space) is approximately a half inch.

  • SED is a perfect display technology.

  • That's right oled is better. AT SUCKIN compared to SED

  • OLED is better

  • So you'd give up quality picture because your eyes can't handle the strain.

    LAME!

  • SED is based upon CRT technology so I have high hopes considering I can't stand LED and also think CRT is the way to go as of now.
