Silver supply and demand update for Jan 27, 2009. The volume of purchases appears to be increasing, and the number of first time buyers is also increasing. There could be a shortage come June 15 2009 if the mints have not estimated demand correctly. 1000 ounce bars are selling rapidly on Ebay, I have not in the past year seen that occurrence.

There are people making money on ebay just flipping the bullion and coins, but many are just beginning to collect. I see a positive uptrend in the market for silver with Obama's renewable energy plan. Silver is the best electrical conductor of all metals.

Thanks for posting Comic. You posted this update in January and I don't see another silver supply and demand update since. If you watch the supply/demand regularly, I hope you will post a video if you see a supply/demand issue that is notable. Again, thanks for posting.

Yeah the demand has not changed since the posting, it is still holding at about double the 2008 investment level which was already about double from the previous year. I think the idea that saving real assets is better than saving rotting dollars is slowly catching on.
