After executing Anne, Henry regreted his actions, and wanted Anne to come back. He was haunted by her memories and illusions and this poisoned his marriage with Jane as well.

The image of Jane Seymour is that of Bessie Blount in The Tudors. The grey-scaled clips are Henry's memories and the blurred ones are his illusions and imaginations.

  • Hey! WHAT episode was that clip at 5:27 with Henry on a throne with a little boy. I'm assuming that's his son with Bessie.

But I only saw him being born. I don't ever remember that episode

  • It was in the beginning of Season 1, Episode 5. I know it was Henry Fitzroy, but I used his image to depict Edward, Henry's legitimate son with Jane Seymour.

  • OMG! This video actually made me cry.

I almost feel bad for Anne and wish that Henry would have given her some mercy.

Because this video makes Anne seem so sweet. But her craziness is what got her killed.

I think Henry would have kept her and let her live a bit longer if she would have just dealt with the affairs like Katherine did. It was ONLY when Henry tried to divorce Katherine did she have a problem.

BUT EXCELLENT video. GOTTA love Boyz II Men!

  • Thanks!

I think the main problem with them (Anne and Catherine) for Henry was that neither of them were able to produce a male heir. As for Anne, her temper was certainly one of the reasons of her downfall, but the foundamental problem was her inability to give Henry a healthy son.

  • yeah, whose the little boy...????

  • He is Henry Fitzroy, Henry's illegitimate son in the show, but I use him to represent Edward here.

  • A lot of the things that Anne Boleyn was charged with sounded utterly far-fetched - there is indeed a good likelihood that none of them were true at all. But of course we don't know what Henry believed - the man appears to have been psychotic, paranoid and mad with power. He may have believed some (or all) of it. Otherwise he could have granted her a pardon, could have had the marriage annulled and her sent to a nunnery. But for some rason he seems to have wanted her dead.

  • Very nice video!

  • @honeybee3383 Actually, in real life, he didn't hate Anne of Cleves. He certainly didn't want to marry her, (some say this was because he found her ugly, others believe it's because she didn't acknowledge him when he first met her, which hurt his ego) but after the annulment/divorce they actually remained good friends...And she was often invited to court. But I believe it was mostly lust for Anne that drove Henry as well. Sorry, just my two cents :)

  • i so love this video it so cute and sweet

  • I've never seen The Tudors, having missed the start of it but I really want to now, that was a great video.

  • 2:04 grrrrrrrrrrrr...... :-P Nice clip and Boyz II Men...great song

  • Catherine Parr was for companionship. They talked, played cards, etc. By the time he married her, he was old, fat, had puss consistently coming from his old leg wound, and some historians believe he was impotent by this time.
