  • do loons listen to anything like we do them...?

  • Good question? The loon seems to respond after the sound of the cicada...maybe they were listening in...

  • Lovely! I love the call of the loon in harmony with the gentle sound of the water. Beautiful sunset as well.

  • I'll be on Burnt Lake in 10 days. . . Can't wait.

Reminder to fellow campers : turn down your "noise" at midnight.

  • Sunset is always the best time for luscious loon songs.

  • @videoprospector these are beautiful sounds, algonquin park is my favorite

  • my home. most beautiful place in the world

  • WOW Lovely place.I was seeing that lake and the beauty of ALGONQUIN PARK in one FALL season! The vast stretch of fallen yellow & pink maple leaves ornamented miles and miles of landscape with a few inches thick spread a natural carpet where I hiked some 10km deep into the forest! I was drowned in a strange awe of solitude, visioned, that it was one of the busiest railway station once upon a time, now abandoned, a large luxury hotel existed there! Sounds of silence & History sleeps in its glory..

  • Canada's a loony country...

  • Hi videoprospector, great video! The subtle beauty of Algonquin park during moments such as this are breathtaking. This video might be good for the Canada’s Got Treasures collection, which aims to feature Canadian videos of personal or cultural significance. • One of my favorite things about Ontario. The call of the loon. I love falling asleep to that sound. My favorite would be the lonely loon call when it is searching its mate.

    Fantastic video!

  • It is so wonderful to see videos where the camera isn't moving all about everywhere for once...

These videos actually almost have a Bill viola feel...

    what a nice moment!
