These are some of the most frequently asked questions I get regarding the 3.1 firmware.

If you want to jailbreak or unlock your iPhone, DO NOT update to 3.1 firmware. It can't be jailbroken at the moment.
Please subscribe and once the Dev Team releases the jailbreak I will post a video tutorial on how to jailbreak 3.1

i bought an iphone from a guy on craigslist i think it stolen directly from the apple store. Reason being you can't reset the iphone 3gs, you hold down any icon and nothing happens, and the photo's in the contact list look fake like taken from magazines or something. I tried to restore but it keeps saying not elligible for that build or something.

I cant do it. I cant return my iphone 3gs from frigen 3.1 back to 3.0... Itunes is saying "The device isnt eligible for requested build... Add me on facebook rhyanna dela cruz and please help me out ive been trying since last night... out of all the videos i watched yours was more convincing that it is still capable for my version so help please! :)

sorry once you update to 3.1 on the 3GS you won't be able to downgrade. You will ahve to wait for the 3.1 jailnbreak. If you're subscribed then you will be updated once i upload a tutorial once the dev team releases the jailbreak.

I can,t find a correct Firmware (3.0/3.0.1) for 3GS on that site you pointed.That website has no firmware to 3gs-

i have tryed to down grade from 3.1 to 3.0 and Itunes always pops up a restore error window... and ive made sure that i downloaded the right firmware using your link , also using firefox making sure it was in IPSW NOT zip... is it true what foxbody50302 said "you cant down grade becuase of the baseband"

you dont need firefox. just rename it from zipfile to ipsw. very simple fix

I have a jailbroken iphone 3g - currently on 2.2. I want to upgrade to 3.1 but it looks like there is not a version for that yet right? Do you know how long until that is available?
