hey roochuck, shut the hell up, seriously if louisville was so good, then why did they lose to a big 10 team in the elite eight?, a conference supposedly in the rebuilding process. stop whining about how crean is supposedly committing violations and worry about your own damn school

He took IU off his list.... so Duke are the favorites right now :)

I think if kyrie comes in next year and say they go to the final four but lose and he is rated 1 number one in the draft and everything he might stay one more year to win a NC but if they do win it then he will leave
-
i think you may have misinterpreted my comment. i said that duke usually goes for players that will stay longer, but that kyrie is an exception. this means i think he will in fact be a one and done.
early scouts are saying he's next year's version of john wall and may go no. 1 in the draft a year later. if he's that good, of course i think he'll be 1 and done. i think he will be a top notch PG AND leave after 1 year.. so i don't get where you are coming from

I think Kyrie is def an exception, but i also think he might be one and done. Why do dook fans think that Kyrie is gonna stay 4 years, but at the same time argue that he'll be the best freshman point guard in the nation next year. Point guards who perform well their first year are almost always one and dones.

i also believe you may be wrong about haywood. haywood was a mcdonalds all american- those are given only to the top HS players in the country. He was also named north carolina's player of the year in the entire state as a senior in HS.
he was highly touted, definitely way better than top 100.
-
yes, fair enough. i think it's also fair to say HS recruiting rankings are relatively unreliable anyway... samardo samuels was a top 3 recruit, he's underachieved. tyler zeller was a top 10 pick, and i know he's like what? a junior now? he's not a top 10 player.
duke hasn't been the model for recruiting over the past decade or so. we take skilled players who end up being hampered by a lack of athleticism just because they may stay longer.
kyrie irving appears to be an exception to this trend.

The difference between Haywood and Shavlick is that Haywood wasn't even a top 100 recruit in high school. Now he's an NBA starter. He might be a terrible one, but he's still a starter. Hansbrough is on the same team as mcroberts, and even though this is mcboberts third year and TH is a rookie, Hansbrough is averging 4 times the mintues and 7 times the points. The one and dones will are going to be the best, but you can still develop players to be NBA players.
-
come on man this happens everywhere.duke has a tendency to go for recruits that they think will stay longer- which isn't always smart.
so randolph and mcroberts didn't work out in the nba... duke still has the most players in the nba right now with 14, i think unc has a very high number as well, like 13 i believe. for every shavlick there has been a brendan haywood- nba duds. shelden williams is a role player at best, but hansborough isn't playing either. 1and done is the game now, and its sad.

no one made fun of her, drug abuse is a serious problem for many people, and getting into debt with dealers is bad and can cost a person their life, all addicts can learn from carsons sitution and maybe it will keep some people off smack.
