@jake62194 I was just down there and found some sand flats and grass flats along the padre side north of the town by about five miles, in an area surrounded by flat salt flats. I didnt fish or anything, jus waded and swam a little, but it looked just like this, calm clear water, so different from the upper texas coast where i live.

Whenever you can. It usually doesn't matter whether it's in or out, but whether it's moving.
