A little tribute to one Persian Hero, Artemis, who went on to become the Persia`s supreme commander of the whole Navy and destroyed the Greek fleet at the battle of Salamis. Her courage and valour helped the Persians win many battles against not just the Greeks but also Egypt and Carthage. Enjoy.

  • @aclock2 Islamic country in 480 bc ? Thats 1000 years before Islam even existed...You are not very educated, are you?

  • They should make a movie about her, highlighting the theme of women rights in Persia that no one else at the time or for thousands of years to follow.

  • Excellent production, narrative and music. Keep up the great work!

  • @everenduring I do not know what women are told they are helpless. In Ireland women are told that th.ey can do anything men can do, if they want to

  • Not ARTEMIS but .....485 B.C. - Artemisia I: became the ruler of Halicarnassius (A Greek City-State and a colony of Persian Empire). She ruled under the overlordship of the Persian Emperor Xerxes I (Kheshayar Shah). She was the legendary Grand Admiral and leader of the Persian Navy, She was Xerxes' great love.(from Google search) ....ARTEMIS was the Godess for hunting for the Greeks and maybe the name was come from there.Like Christofer today.I said maybe.

  • @CaoilteMacRonan My friend 1)The Greeks were victorious in Salamis 2)Themistoklis was the Greek commanding admiral 3)Artemisia was commanding only the ships from Hallicarnasus(today Bodrum) 4)Themistoklis lured the Persian fleet into a trap (that way eliminating the Persian superiority in numbers) using the teacher of his childern Sikinos 5)Please please and i dont mean it in any bad way, when y are reffering to some peoples history learn first the subject y want to comment.:)

  • How can a woman could have such high position in an ancient Isamic country . She must be incredibly good at either commanding or pleasure the King

  • It's simply great that a Persian female Admiral Artemisia destroyed the Greek fleet under their Greek female Admiral Artemisia at Salamis. The Persian commander Themistokles had lured the Greeks into a trap.

And what a coincidence that BOTH admirals were called Artemisia!

  • @gferrie123 Ever been to Persepolis near Shiraz?

  • @kahnkan "The britts are the satans we are your brothers let us controll indias resource wealth we can eat your welth better then the britts for we are brothers " thats it !
