Tyra Banks has done it: She has donned the wigs and finally revealed her natural hair on the Tyra Banks show on September 8, 2009. To commensurate this great moment for natural African American hair, Scissorboy brings you a very special episode featuring more ideas for getting natural African American Hairstyles with Ms. Keeli Harris from Kandills Salon and Spa in Oakland, CA.

Keeli calls this hairstyle a clipper over comb short cut which leaves the option of leaving her natural African American hair, very much like Tyra did by revealing the Tyra Banks Natural Hair look to kick off the new season of her talk show last night to the world.

I think you will agree that Keeli does a tremendous job in keeping her clients natural hair flattering yet allowing them to add a little bit of spice to their natural African American hairstyles.

Congratulations to Tyra Banks for having the courage to don her natural African American hair and inspire other women to do the same.

  • I'm confused what does this have to do with Tyra or natural hair????

  • The only stupid Q's are those unasked...You can't understand unless someone explains. Generally, food type oils are not used in salons, but in fact, as African-Americans, do use food oils on our natural hair (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil, carrot oil, black cumin seed oil, broccoli seed oil, etc.).

We get mad at white people for disregarding our beautiful hair, but when they ask, we call them stupid...Let them ask so they can learn to appreciate our amazing tresses.

  • @p2htrinity sooo true!

  • why........what was the point of this video.

  • @CapricornQueen80 I thought I was the only one with that vibe!

  • Not much you can do with nappiness.

  • The interviewer looks so uninterested. False titles suck!!!

  • the interviewer is so annoying! I cant handle her constantly flirting with the camera after everytme she speaks! She needs to know we do not want to watch her but the person she is supposed to be interviewing.

  • Poor interviewer getting all this hate on YT. I was laughing sometimes at her gestures and postures. She looked so confused. But i think what annoyed me a little was the fact that she kept staring at the stylist instead of at the hair that she was showing her. But then again, I think she was just admiring the stylist's hair. Honestly.

Anyway, she looked like "ok, what do I do now?"

  • Get off the stage!

  • The interviewer is dude and stupid!! Someone fire her asap!!
