not impossible. there was a man in canada who decided to run across the country i believe bedcause he was fighting a deadly disease with no hope, im not sure though. and im also not sure about what exactly it was but he ran a staggeriong distance every day. like a marathon every day for months on end i think. look him up if you want the details.
