@richlkyl000 Incorrect, Datsun was making aircraft engines in the early 1900's and they changed the name to Nissan no one was bought out. 1980 was the first time that they started putting Nissan and Datsun badges on the cars.

"It isn't Datsun, it's Nissan."
-
Moderns.... Nissan bought out datsun that why it changed.
-
@Get908 They actually changed it from Nissan to Datsun because Nissan "sounded to Japanese" for the American market. They later changed it to Nissan in the USA.
-
@Oddmanout84 but it came with the spacesuit?

2+2's suck

I work at a nissan Dealer. We have a tech there that worked on these when they were new! Needless to say. When we get old Z cars in...he works on them. None of the younger guys can or will touch them. He can make that 2.8 purr.

HAHA LOL That driver looks like the The Stig From Top Gear !
-
they'll never have the feeling of driving a Z car though. You can argue it all day. my STi is much faster than our Z but I smile every time I take the Z out on a windy road.

funny... I have a 2+2 NA 280ZX and have beat the piss out of 5 Litre Rustangs- could be because I don't slow down for corners- find me a "mom type" passenger car that handles as well as a competently piloted Z!
My 280 didn't come with a spacesuit and synthesizers... I've been had!!

You obviously don't know why Nissan chose to use the name Datsun back in the day..
