By the way, I visited Arlington cemetary in Virginia and one near Lebanon, PA. There are crosses everywhere, but I saw only 3 Jewish graves so far, one Buddha, and two satan/witchcraft graves (as someone said).

Agree the few brave jews that fought. For the rest of you
scum who left your people to die I say
shame on you. The rest ran to america,
and other countries. SHAME SHAME SHAME

@davidakinin unfortunately no he passed in the 90s, but keep up the great work. what i know is from stories he told my grandmother (jewish, though he was nothing), letters he wrote home, and a small diary he fashioned while inside the camp with letterhead, shoe leather, and string, plus other artif. he became most emotional when talking about his jewish friend as well as the evacuation march and the dead jews they encountered on the side of the road, which the guards forced them to clean up.

@davidakinin kk, makes sense...soz lol (btw, Iraq, not irak...)
My Grandfather was drafted in 1944 and he experinced the US Army Anit-Semtisim . He was stationed in Alabama. His Drill Sgt. hated his gutz and forced to him to skin Chickens in the Mess hall till he passed out. However My Grandfather did wind up in the Battle of the Bulge. He served till 46 and then came home.

Wow! This is exactly what we are looking for to prove to the world that Jewish American soldiers are part of American History and suffered in the process. Is there a way to get in touch with your grandfather? Perhaps an interview?

@davidakinin my grandpa was in stalag 17 for 1.5 years and his friend, who was jewish, was a fellow prisoner. one day the SS came and deported his friend who was never heard from again. however, there was a vermacht regular in the prison staff who befriended my grandpa because he had family in america, and who set about trying to prevent further deportations
