  • @jlorf You're proving Hicks' point right here, you're not even bright enough to know what he was talking about and why he presented it the way he did, so I think the military is right where you belong. Keep on believing that you actually fight for freedom, in case you're wondering....YOU'RE NOT! Hicks challenged your way of thinking, of perception. And if you could stop playing with your GI Joe doll for just 5 minutes and listen, you would (maybe) see that.

  • @jlorf If you're not a troll... The point of the humor was to be dark. The fact that it isn't something you'd expect to laugh at makes it that much more ridiculous, which in turn makes it more entertaining (at least for some). Hicks from what I've seen always advocated freedom for the individual in his stand-ups; how is that not positive? Is it not positive to see things from different perspectives instead of blindly believing a single side of the story?

  • Sane Man is one of the best things I've ever seen. I love the Elvis impression part when he starts wiping his forehead on everything and giving away Cadillacs.

  • @kylio27

Wise people smoke too, you know. They're not stupid, they weight up the options and ultimately make the decision of what to do with their own bodies. Artistic, creative types have a self-destructive streak. He never did anything half assed, whether it be touring, smoking, drinking or doing drugs.

  • kylio27 his demise more likely due to poor diet /lifestyle for a lot of years on the road....

    but yeah smoking didnt help.

still a great astute observant american, the last one i think %)

  • . If I'm in a place where I know I'm going to harm somebody's health or somebody asks me to please not smoke, I just go outside and smoke.. Because, first of all, in a democracy, minorities do have rights. And, second, the whole pitch about smoking has gone from being a health issue to a moral issue, and when they reduce something to a moral issue, it has no place in any kind of legislation, as far as I'm concerned.” Frank Zappa

  • @kylio27 He DIED of side effects of pancreatic cancer treatments

  • @BEforSirius how do you think he feels about freedom at the cost of health? i'm pretty sure he was against the iraq war, which would be an interesting analogy to smoking if you think it through.

  • @JohnyTRexx99 at 32, he did prove what he said in this video didnt u hear? smoking kills you earlier than you should.. he said it in Sarcastic way tho.. that he is willing to smoke to prove it and die early so can look cool everyday... anyway, thats his style, thats what i know in most of his shows..

  • @ThePreacher1995 He died at age 32 --- if that's what you mean "ahead of his time"

  • He was ahead of his time..R.I.P.
