Well ever since I installed the EK block for the 6870 It went fine until I checked the temps I found it weird that it was idling at 58c and when I would play a game it would max out at 103c on a watercooled..Yeah and there was no air bubbles and no kinking whatsoever...So then I re checked again and then put it back now temps idling at 83c :( So then coming to this point I think I may have damaged the RAM chip so I decided to buy a new GPU 5830 and deal it with, As you know I'm retiring upgrading PC parts for a long while I guess..Thanks for watching and hope you like the video guys. Peace

  • it wasn't the waterblock, you had a faulty card and it was giving out after swear, it was

  • @keiki646 How come when I installed back the stock cooler the video card went perfectly fine after that? I must've did something wrong during the WB installation

  • did you not apply thermal past

  • @PAC0TAC0 Yes I did I think there was too much air bubbles I couldn't tell because of the white tubing. This card was sold, I don't have a 5830 anymore too, I'm using a single Asus DirectCU 6870

  • Yo whats your job...I want to be rich too! Thought ever getting a 5970 and 6990? ball like a PIMP!!!

  • @CoreFuse I work at a local computer store making $11 an hr lol. Well I don't have this 5830 anymore so I bought another 6870 by Asus DirectCU which is great enough for me and for my Eyefinity setup which I have dual 24" monitors waiting on my 3rd 24" monitor :)

  • @Mupp1t or RAM chips, and other VRM locations

  • @Mupp1t yes maybe you did added thermal tape to the correct areas on the GPU,

  • @Mupp1t did you reapply the watercooling block to it? next time you fill your loop up put the resivour as the highest point and fill the system then bleed the system with the res at the highest point and rotate the system around. your temps were shockingly high... did you ever happen to get your cpu temps because if it was air bubbles it would effect the cpu too.

  • @Mupp1t Did you mean $110 an hr? its cool I make type-o's too.(its a joke)
