  • Nurse!

The country was on its knees before Thatcher arrived..we were known as the 'sick man of Europe'..the 'winter of discontent'..strikes galore..gravediggers even went on strike so we faced the prospect of sending bodies to see..she put the unions in their place and it's interesting to see how Labour has not repealed a single law..it's fact: Britain was stronger, richer and more self-confident than when she arrived..she saved the country and killed off socialism

  • Viva Margaret!!!!!! She really changed everything, as politician & as a woman, go Mags!!! >D

  • Damn the leftist traitors who stabbed Thatcher in the back.

  • she was one of the strongest leaders in british history

  • indeed Labour is no longer a Socialist party in the traditional definition of socialism high taxes antiona industry

cradle to grave welfare it is now a more social liberal party centrist pro market,

i used to be a socialist, i hated thatcher i'm 50 now, she saved Britian, other than her handling of N Ireland i'd say i'd have to admit i was right and she was wrong

i cant agree on her handling of N Ireland

i honeslty stil cant understand why Britian was ever in Ireland even after study

  • She`was a disaster for Britain. Mass unemployment, huge increase in crime and riots up and down the country.

The UK had a huge opportunity in the 80s thanks to North sea oil and she wasted it. UNFORGIVEABLE.

  • I agree. Yes Thatcher always thought she was right, but she always had a clear coherent answer to any question that was put to her. The likes of Benn and Hattersley just reel off the same old mantra that they have been reeling off for the last thirty years or so, and the funny thing is, nobody ever listens to them, apart from a few die-hard socialists and pre-pubescent students who lap up all the crap they talk.

  • He's just like Tony Benn and all of the other Labour old boy's. He thinks his age gives him the aura of a lovable elder statesmen who must never be questioned, because that is insulting! What a joke he is.

  • I found Roy Hattersley's appearance on Question Time quite embaressing. He was quite pig headed all the way through it, whilst at the same time not making any sense at all. He needs to keep schtum in future.

  • Roy Hattersley never likes to admit he is wrong either, despite being wrong on every issue. His recent appearance on Question time shows this.
