if you dont know the answer, then be smart enough to say that you dont :))

I'd say that if you want to look or act smart, then try to daze off at times or ask questions related to the subject matter. Smart people have a lot in their minds, so making accents and trying to use jargons and technical may appear OA and may be suspected by your peers and friends.
