@mikikirino99 actually, I think Rika was chosen more for her looks and personality, like she's not a terrible singer, but she doesn't have a very strong voice. Since she was auditioning for MM at the time, it wasn't necessary for her to be a great singer since there were a bunch of other girls singing along anyway who were pretty talented.

Plus, whether you're in Japan or America, girl/boy bands were always slightly more about image and personality, I think.

@Momoirokagami Um. Erika & Yui were amazing singers. They were pretty much the voice of v-u-den while Rika was the face. That's why v-u-den was originally formed. Rika wasn't a strong enough singer to pursue a solo career after MM so she had Erika & Yui back her up in v-u-den. Also, Sayumi can't sing.
