This team may have been better than the '88 title team. If things had gone the right way against Miami, they might have won back-to-back titles.

Wow! #1 Notre Dame vs #2 Michigan! This was back then when both of these 2 college football programs were national powerhouses not the laughing stocks that they are today. I miss these old smashmouth running oriented style of offenses where they use to beat each other up and grind it out yard for yard. Not the NFL style air show that you see today where all they want to do is pass the ball on every other play, run up and down the field, score 50-60 points a game, and play minimal defense.

You should post the video from the 1992 game that ended in a tie. I remember watching that one, and although a tie is a terrible way to end a game, it was a well played contest. Both ways.
great footage of Rodney Culver who tragically lost his life in the Valujet Flight in Florida RIP Rodney, Btee I disagree I wish there still were ties as the current OT system stinks. great video!

there was also Mark Green and Braxton Banks in '88, and Tony Brooks from 88-91. in Holtz's system, the flankers played in the backfield in certain formations too, so you could count Rocket, Pat Eilers, and Tim Brown if you wanted.
