To point out the obvious, it is just a partisan way to tie up the discussion by fighting over nothing. It by no means reveals anything about her character to twist words out of context. I'm not a demographic, I am a individual voter and can see right through it. Besides her opponent Dana Rohrabacher has been my congressmen for 20 years. He even presented me with the American Flag at my eagle ceremony but by no means speaks for me because he not scientific man and is an ideologue.

I disagree--the "point" of the video is that the politician highlighted is untruthful and says things and later denys saying them...accordingly, she does not deserve support from a constituency she clearly lies to.

This video is pointless. There is no context that provides insight to the discussion. Whoever edited and posted this video is an idiot. Besides breeders have been known to treat their for sale pets inhumanly seeing them as only means of profit and should be licensed to prevent such treatment.

Sure, she challenged that lady to find where she said that, and she did (although you people aren't taking into consideration the context of what she said. People DO FORGET THINGS SOMETIMES. However, I think you are all taking what she said as a blanket statement, and you are judging her when you don't know her. How do you know if she is an animal lover or not? I am an animal lover, I have always had pets, but we ADOPT THEM AND HAVE THEM FIXED. That is responsible pet ownership.

When breeders do things to the animals that make them "cuter" or more like they think they should look, THAT is the butchering she's talking about. Yes, there are some responsible breeders, but personally I would never BUY an animal when there are so many that need a good home. That is what a true animal lover would do.

This entire video is out of context - it does not show the start of the statement being repeated over and over. I would be willing to bet the people behind it are her political opponents.

Just for the sake of argument: She said "The butchering things they do to animals, I just don't get." That is not the same as saying "Breeders are butchers," but still an indictment. And so what? It's true, isn't it? What about all the little doggie tails and ears that are cut? Doberman pinchers, for example, look a lot cuter with their ears intact anyway. How would you like your ears clipped? Aren't "our" animals more than just property?

Minus her cheering section, March 17, 2008, she denied her statement at the Council Meeting. Cook claims to be an environmentalist, criticizing pollution. See her U Tube October 3, Solar Home Video. On April 15, 2008, the Orange County Register reported Cook owns $510,000 in oil stocks. She now runs for Congress. Its frightening! What will she cook up next?
