Thanks, I however am not replacing the lion but not using the ™'d word. (ARS GRATIA ARTIS) I'm wanting my logo ribbons and drama mask (& reef) to look cartoonish.

@BestProAction Ok. Thank you. Well all I was going to do was to replace the lion with a puffer fish and cover up the metro goldwyn mayer text with my own.
But I'm guessing for this competition application it shouldn't be done.
I did read up on some fair use article, but even the people who should know it seems don't know much.
One of the articles in the comp is not to use anything i don't have permission to use so I guess I should do something else.
Thanks for the help fella. :D

@jumpupdnbdj "Defaced logos or logo parodies should be used with care and not given undue prominence. For example, parodies of logos may be carefully used under fair use in an article about a parody site or campaign, but should only be used in articles on the original if the parody is discussed extensively."

@jumpupdnbdj I found some quotes which might be helpful: "Avoid using a logo in any way that creates an impression that the purpose of its inclusion is to promote something. Generally, logos should be used only when the logo is reasonably familiar or when the logo itself is of interest for design or artistic reasons."

Instead of using Adobe Premiere Pro, can I use Sony Vegas Pro + Photoshop??

@Kennykentaro I think so; at least the latest version of Sony Vegas Pro does support and imports PSD files. But if even not, you could use Photoshop making PNG files with transparent area.
