THE PUT THE POLAR BEAR ON THE ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST.... KNOWING.... THAT THEY BEAR HAS DOUBLED IN NUMBERS SINCE THE MID 90s.
FIRST TIME IN AMERICAN HISTORY THAT WE'VE PUT AN ANIMAL ON THE LIST B-E-F-O-R-E IT WAS ANYWHERE NEAR BEING ENDANGERED.
THE CHINESE ARE DRILLING OFF THE FLORIDA COAST BUT WE'RE NOT ALLOWED TO?
AND WE HAVE FAR SUPERIOR PLATFORMS WHERE SAFETY IS CONCERNED.
THE LIB/DEMS MUST BE CUT OFF AT THE KNEES....

Yes we need alternative forms of energy and we CAN and ARE going after those, but in the meantime we MUST DRILL HERE DRILL NOW FOR CHEAP GAS !!!
We wont see the gas for a year if we begin drilling today, but the speculators (those who drive the prices up up up) will be forced to bring the prices waaaaaaaay down over night, the minute we tap the ground.

I live here in Alaska. We up here are just amazed how ignorant people are who are against drilling in ANWr. Remember, the same things were said about Prudhoe bay,over 30 yrs ago. Guess what? It,s still pumping oil! The largest field in North America! The caribou pop has increased,etc... AnWR is right next door! It is "19 million" acres!!! Only approx '10,000" acres would be developed! Most against it, have never been there,and have no clue how it is up here in Alaska in general!

Oh yeah, and of course the redistribution of wealth. They are too ignorant to understand that when you tax the wealthy, they hold their money and stop hiring tax payers, thus crushing the economy. So I guess you're right.

I forgot, Clinton vetoed ANWR in 19994, the house and senate 'passed" it! it would be producing oil now. Remember, these same anti oil libs said Prudhoe bay would only produce about 1 yrs supply! Guess what? It,s still going strong! The same environmentalists are saying the same thing about ANWR! It is so frustrating to most of us longtime Alaskans, who have heard the same old stuff from these tree huggers1 Most are from big citys, that have no pristine land left! How ironic! AK has plenty!!!

I live on solar and wind..

It's expensive..it's not anywhere near the power you get from the grid and most people can't afford it.

The appliance to run off of 'renewable energy' is expensive.

Do I like it?

Yes.

But to 'dream' about this country running on solar, wind, hydro etc alone is ludicrous unless you want everyone to go to a third world standard of living.

Renewablt energy is a suppliment to power, not a silver bullet.

hundreds of thousands of gallons have been spilled in prudhoe bay. There is no excuse for that and no matter how high gas prices get, nothing will ever make up for that. Our Earth is priceless.

Eco-Nazis have taken the air in LosAngeles and the SanFernando Valley,which used to have smog alerts daily in the summer to zero this year. If thats taking us back to the dark ages so be it... but in reality its bringing us into a sustainable future. If they wanted to go stoneAge why would they need to redistribute the wealth. Besides if they go to far back, the Republicans have most of the guns so they'd loose that game (me being the exception to the rule, I'm a gun nut Democrat!!).
