Wal-Mart sells a lot of things. Warranties are one of those things. When you buy a Tv, or I-pod though Wal-Mart when you are given an option to buy that warranty, you are actually purchasing that warranty through a company called NEW Corp. I had bought a 46in Polaroid TV (46in Polaroid 1080p (only (at that time) 1080p TV Wal-Mart sold) model TLA-04641C). that was 1.5 yr old (.5 years out of mfg warranty) when the TV plugged into any outlet would have a orange power light, even when you pressed the power button or used the remote. This is the trouble I've been going through trying to get parts, or service from these companies, I am trying to be as neutral as possible, and may even buy a warranty from Wal-Mart / "NEW" again, depending on how this all turns out! The people I would love to see this video are NEW CEO's Fred Schaufeld, Tony Nader, Martin Bloom, and Cliff White Video Series Part 3 of X

  • Rather than going through all of this trouble, why not read the information at the time of purchase? I certainly wouldn't make such a purchase. You could have had the repair done by a local shop for less than the price you paid for the plan. Making a video after the fact doesn't make you look to swift. I guess it got you your money eventually. Sounds like you were hoodwinked and bamboozled by a minimum wage employee of wal mart. I'd probably keep that to myself.

  • @JohnCBarleycorn I finally was able to get my full amount of money back.. and also returned the TV to walmart and got another TV + my money.. so i got one over on them... :) ill keep that to myself.. besides you :)

  • I have 32 inch tv/dvd combo and the dvd player won't play any dvd's now. Says "no disc". There are hundreds of post from others having the same problem. I was wondering if there is a fix for this?

  • There probably is... I would keep looking on youtube.. or try taking the TV apart =)

  • My TV seems to be going out! The blue light will come on but the TV will not. Sometimes i'll hit the power button and the light wont even go blue! I called the polaroid support people and he was like "oh we can send you a new power board. oh and that will cost you 225$" wtf?? this is BULLSHIT!

  • you can fix it yourself... with a sodier gun, and stuff.. and the right cap... there should be a video on here of how to fix it and which cap to use ect..

  • THE ONLY people that stand by any of there warranties is SEARS yeah its a bit expensive but do you know how much stuff i've taken back they fixed it or replaced it for free of charge.

  • I have a Polaroid film 3232 that goes off after running for awhile crackling sound from speakers then video drops to a green screen with vertical lines and will not power off, pulled the plug, let it set for a time and it comes back on, took apart and the one transformer on the board seems to be extra hot with bubbly on the coating, no popped caps found on the power board, any ideas?

  • Envisionelec, I have a Polaroid film 3232, and what I believe is a power board prob also, runs fine for awhile then a crackling sound comes out of speakers then units picture shuts down to a green screen with vertical lines. I opened it up and with care plugged it back in, after several minutes one of the two "the top one" one the board got hot and the case looks bubbly on the board side, I checked all the caps and none look "popped up" when it cools down its ok, any ideas please!

  • @willyboxc First off, if you had bothered to read all of the terms instead of just the bits that made you think you were going to get a check because you wanted one, you probably would have found something that says something along the lines of buying the warranty means you agree to the terms the company offering it sets, not the terms you want. Second, you just kept the fact that you committed fraud to yourself, the other poster, and everyone else in the world with internet access. Fucktard.

  • @willyboxc So... In your mind it's wrong for Wal-Mart to give you an option to purchase a warranty, which you agreed to, and which you had all the opportunity to review and reclaim your money - But, it's ok for you to swindle Wal-Mart in effect Stealing from them. I'd say that's is very hypocritical.

  • say if i pushed my tv off the tv stand and it fell and broke while it is still under warranty, does anyone know if they would replace it? i have a samsung 50"
