At the Homeless Encampment Forum with the city, Colorado Veterans Alliance, Rick Duncan, police chief Meyers, Keep Colorado Springs Beautiful, Dee Cunningham and Karon DiPentino, Mayor Rivera, Bob Holmes, Jack Freeman, Steve Handen, Barry Noreen and Wayne Laugesen of the Gazette, Robert Moran of The Street Church, and all interested parties, this man, Thomas Savells, spoke up to say that he had been awakened from his sleep under a bridge last February and not allowed to get all his property, including a Glucometer (to measure bood Glucose levels for Diabetics) and medication to treat the disease. He produced the business card from the officer who did this, and after the meeting, Savells was asked to sign a written complaint against the cop.
