Functional Motor Learning of Children with CP

The movie describes the international research project entitled "Comparison of the Efficacy of Functional Motor Learning and Neuro-Developmental Treatments of Children with Cerebral Palsy in Natural Environments".

the research team carried out the work simultaneously at three children's rehabilitation centers: the Al-Hussein Society Rehabilitation Center, Amman, Jordan; the Basma Rehabilitation Center in Jerusalem; and the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center at Assaf Harofeh Medical Centre in Israel. The fourth partner in the research is the Foundation for Research and Education on subjects connected with Children with Cerebral Palsy in the CP International Research Foundation (CPIRF), which is contributing scientific advice.

The project investigated different approaches in the improvement of motor function in children with cerebral palsy, with an assessment of the results within the children's natural environment. The research is part of USAID by the Middle East Regional Cooperation Program, which nurtures research connections between Israel and its Arab neighbors.

The project was launched in February 2006 and is now at the stage of data analysis with the help of the CPIRF and NIH, US.
