  • @massacreman3000 Haha thanks, I should have done that. The beginning is quite boring, I didn't really edit at all!

  • its not physics. it's chemistry.

  • I take it you're not a believer in ontological reductionism. Where would you say physics ends and chemistry begins?

  • cool. but the camera is too close. how far up did the water go?

  • Zephalis is about right. If the explosion happens at 43 seconds and all of the water is done hitting the ground at 46 seconds, then we can use simple physics to calculate it.

Considering half the time to fall, h=1/2*a*t^2, t=1.5 seconds and a=g=32 feet/second/second, then h=36 feet approximately.

Other pictures of the explosion on different occasions confirm this.

  • One of my teachers has a poster that says:

"If it's green and it wiggles, it's Biology. If it stinks or explodes, it's Chemistry. If it doesn't work, it's Physics."

I think those serve as decent definitions. XD

  • It's like you're trying to piss, but the retarded bladder is charging it's kamehama. Then, the party blows.

  • @andrewkbradshaw physics is life =)

  • I think that this experiment was done before, in the Chemistry Bldg Jan of 2006, when a 160 liter dewar exploded because some one had replaced the pressure relief vales with brass plugs...oops !! You can read all about in link to a pdf ref Wiki "Liquid Nitrogen"

  • Now, that's nice. I like those tough guys who try to act cool and one can tell they are sh...ing in their pants.

  • Sweet. I remember us douing a smaller scale of this experiment in my physics class.

  • i thought the answer was uranus.(*)
