I was stationed in the UK (London)1964-1967 and a just fell in love with Millie.
What a great performer with a great instrument, and man was she ever CALIENTE!

Hi, Weightfeather
I don't think Millicent sang Alfie in the movie. Course it was over 4 decades
ago, so I have only a vague memory.
I do remember that the program of Side by Side (Sondheim) said in her
bio. "I never made another movie. No one asked me." Too bad
musicals were out of style when she would have been perfect
for them.

Peter Scolari and Stephanie Zimbialist did a version of this on A&E some years back and it was much better in my opinion.

Sorry, this just does not work. None of the poignancy, humour and wit of Newley or Quayle.

isn't this the same tune as glorious russian/moscow music?
